Nima uses an ACTV-2, and double MIDI (though I don't know whether it's a VG99 or a true synth sounds)... the melody sound on this is definitely a MIDI sound.. I have a question for you Greg. When I gave my instructions about my own stick I said to Uta that I didn't want a MIDI set up on it. The reason was really simple. I had in the past some guitar MIDI set up and I found that it was not good...for the trigger I mean...always late response... My question: is the trigger better with this tapping technique on the stick?

Nice one, I was thinking Andreas Vollenweider too! Great post! What a cool Stick sound and the ensemble fits together really well. Perfect Saturday morning cup-of-coffee soundtrack.

Used to listen to Vollenweider at the Health Food restaurant where I worked in Vegas as a cook before they closed many years later. Their Health Food STORE is still open now though. It's called Rainbow's End. We sold Green Goddess sandwiches among other things.

Re: Nima Collective
I had no answer on my question...lol...so...I do it again to all of you.
Do you have a MIDI pickup on your stick? It works well? Problems?
Thank you for the answers.

Re: Nima Collective
When I was in Korea there was a guy who studied with Lionel Hampton on Marimba. His name is Baek Jin Woo. He played every week at a jazz bar. I lived near another guy who taught melodic percussion in his studio. He had a lot of students. I just love vibraphone especially. Clean execution in your video. We need more of you guys.
