Jim Storm had a Stroke
Hi, friends.
This just came up on FaceBook and I don't see it here so I thought I would pass it on. This is about Jim Storm from his lady, Pam.
"Jim had a stroke a few weeks ago and is now home on Hospice. We have appreciated your support and ask for continued thoughts and prayers at this time. Thanks, Pam"
Jim held the first Stick seminar I went to many years ago and is a great guy. I'm taking a moment to remember and ponder.
-Eric

Re: Jim Storm had a Stroke
Thanks for the notice, Eric.
After Jim's recent post about his difficulties in playing caused by his illness of late, this community answered the call. His abilities weren't as troubled as I had feared and I hoped he's be able to get some of his playing back. I know a few other teachers also spent some time with him trying to assess and give his tips.
Eric, the connections people make through seminars can be life-changing. I'm glad your encounter with Jim was such a good one.
So this is sad news after a hopeful period.

Re: Jim Storm had a Stroke
Eric, thank you for posting this. This is really sad news.
As Greg mentioned -Jim thanked Greg, Steve and me for trying to help him play again and determine if his neuropathy could be gotten around so that he could find his joy he once had more fully in playing the Stick.
I will keep Jim in my prayers. Dave Brosky

Re: Jim Storm had a Stroke
My thoughts go out to Jim and his family..
Hopefully he can recover with love and care. I'm kinda waiting on this to happen to my old man, so I know what it's like.
Get well soon JS.

Re: Jim Storm had a Stroke
Hello all.
I read on FB this morning that Jim has passed away.
This is very sad indeed. Jim was a good guy, a good musician, and a quick study on the Stick. He'd been out to Michigan to study at our workshops and left an impression on everyone who met him.
Play on Jim!

gpoorman wrote: Play on Jim! Thanks for the update, Glenn. A death in the Stick family is rare and sad. The fact that we have a caring community is inspiring, though. Play on, Jim, indeed. I'm sure he would want us to play on too. -Eric

Re: Jim Storm had a Stroke
Ouch, sad news indeed. Jim was a previous owner of my maple 10 String and was always patient and helpful with my thousands of newbi-ish questions. A genuine nice guy, he will be missed.
