Not so much a recap, but rather more a easy way to remember things to incorporate into my playing over the next year. Ohh yeah, and by the way, it's Emmett playing an improve piece at 'Stick Night 2014' thru the whole video.

Nice Tim! I like how you put it together, and hearing Emmett's music in this context was great too.

Very nice Tim. A great reflection of this year's FHA.

From one video editor to another - extremely cool in every way. Your collage of SoCal at the beginning made me remember why I choose to live here. And you couldn't have a better soundtrack. Nice meeting you also. Hope you come back to our fair city.

Re: Free Hands Oblique Strategies 2014
When I improvise, I try to play my newest ideas in harmony and my latest discoveries in fingering sub-techniques, partially to show new possibilities to other players. I just wish the video had been synced to the audio (for more that just the first half minute). That way, the intervals would have been connected to the fingers, the music linked to the performance. Some instruction would have been conveyed instead of just a mood.

I guess self censorship is better than none at all, so I'll quickly add that I should have privately contacted Tim about my small complaint rather than taking the easy shot. It might be an easy matter to find the video footage to go with the audio, not sure.

Sorry for the poor editing of the video. It was truly make out of inspiration and iPhone footage and to be used to remind myself of the things to try and improve on in my playing for the next year. If you are unhappy with video as is I will remove it from my site.
