Iony Hutchinson
Hi I'm a new guy. I hope to get a stick but in the meantime I'm practicing on my eight string guitar.

Re: Iony Hutchinson
Hi there, nice to have another new stickist join us! I just started in January, it is now an obsession! Have fun and ask questions, this is a great community.

Re: Iony Hutchinson
Welcome to the forum and hopefully you can get Stick soon. The experience tapping on a guitar isn't close to the experience of tapping on a Stick which is designed to optimize not only tapping but the ergonomics of the free hand method.

Re: Iony Hutchinson
Thanks 88persuader and hello. I hear you tapping on my guitar is laborious compared to how fun I imagine an actual stick will be to play, even though I have lowered the action and raised the pickups. But I'm thankful at least that I have something to practice on. The though of getting a stick and then starting from scratch is just to much to bare.

Re: Iony Hutchinson
Hey man, welcome! Yeah I picked up a 9 string guitar, and it wasn't nearly as much fun or as easy to play. Take the Stick plunge, it's really challenging, and very rewarding.
