Re: I dream of wires
Pretty cool video. A friend gave me the dvd several months ago...very interesting. I believe the guy who made that is on or even owns the muffwiggler.com site (electronic music enthusiast site.)

Re: I dream of wires
I watched this movie tonight and have mixed thoughts about it. I like Digital for the simple reason that I can accurately reproduce a sound effect with the simple click of a mouse button. Analog will always reproduce a better sound, but accurately reproducing that sound on demand within seconds of making a choice isn't available. I have several books related to analog sound effects. This information is very useful for designing your own system.

Re: I dream of wires
These things fell from grace back in the 80's but they are making a big comeback now, particularly with the EDM crowd.....kinda neat....
Has anyone watched "Muscle Shoals" or "The Wrecking Crew"?....... great stuff there..... How about "Beware of Mr Baker"........Ginger Baker is an asshole as far as Im concerned and I think his drumming is over-rated, but he makes for good documentary fodder.
cheers, kev

Re: I dream of wires
Apparently I dream of wires is only available in Us Netflix but not on the european version... Bad luck Changing topic (a bit) they have a pretty good documentary on piano "pianomaniac" on a man who tunes the pianos for the best classical pianist (Lang Lang and such) if you like classical is just fantastic. I don't know if there's much more musical documentaries on Netflix here in Europe, they don't seem very interested by the topic

I don't get netflix at all here, but I've seen the trailers, short samples of it - cool!

Re: I dream of wires
I dont get why netflix restricts access according to country. Just tried to watch pianomaniac but to no avail. Wouldn't it be in their best interests to have as many titles as possible available to all? Guess I dont have the big picture (knuck, knuck)
cheers, kev

cheers, kev It's the same situation with some US television channels. We have to find the canadian stations who broadcast some shows produced in US. I'm talking about shows you want to watch the day after in the archives.
