Faking Jaco Pastorius?
Has anyone tried to fake the typical Jaco bass lines on the Stick, with all these muted 16th ghost notes? I'm pretty "good" at playing with ghost notes from some point on a bass line with the left hand, but can't achieve to play a continuous flow of ghost notes as Jaco Pastorius did, and I think I never saw a Stick player trying to fake that particular style. Any tips from some of you who tried?

Re: Faking Jaco Pastorius?
I guess the closest video I found is this one (as far as I know) : , but it's still not a really faked Pastorius playing as he doesn't play a continuous 16th notes flow (but he's still good at what he does though) Oh, well, it's made by a Russian guy with a NS Stick rip-off (don't start a new war on that discussion please)

Culbertson does some nice Jacoesque lines on this rendition of Weather Report's Birdland.

starts about 3:00 with soloing over the top, at times a note for note transcription of the "come on come over" line.

Re: Faking Jaco Pastorius?
OK, thanks guys for your inputs. Brett, your sequence is very close to what Emmett describes in Free Hands as a catapult fingering or motor fingering, I don't remember. And this old video from Bob is freakin' hot, but both videos are still not exactly what I'm looking and asking for.
The question is really how to export on the Stick the "Pastorius technique" as I "understand" it. As far as I know, he kept playing 16th notes on the right hand (and pretty often just a single note) and muted some notes from that flow with the right hand. The un-muted notes thus became as accents. Since a while, I dig this bass player who is really a killer when it's a matter of groove :

Why fake Jaco when you can be yourself?
I've heard millions of guys who can fake Jaco, it's gotten to the point where it's obnoxius, I hear one and I have to block them out or leave the room and yes I was one of those guys, that's the scary part!

What if trying to play like Jaco is something that you enjoy doing and makes you happy musically? Some people are just happy jamming along with their favorite records.
