Hey.

Can anyone speak about why Tony Levin is happy to play on 12 versus a 10 grand for example..

Seems to me that, as one of the greatest bass players of our time, TL is playing a “closed position” stick. Or you could just say, a stick with the closest string spacing.

Can you remind which tuning you are currently using? Are you using DBR or looking to change tunings? Mate, sorry I realised I hadn’t answered your question. I have a soft spot for DBR but I use classic on my graphite XG 10 and baritone on my Railboard 10. I figured there’s two reasons to look at DB...

Hey Mr. Poorman.

I can’t offer any tech advice but I’ve certainly wanted to go over to Dorico.
Sounds as though, between different platforms and the non standard nature of stick charts, that you may have to redo those charts.
Don’t take my word for it though, someone might be able to help.

Thanks for the love Rick. Maybe this thread should be called alien fingers… ? If I’m fit, healthy and having that much fun when I’m nearly 80, I’ll be a proud man. Fripp’s exacting standards are of course, the stuff of legend. Didn’t Belew say that he lost hair after playing some of the 80s Cr...

Power brother Gene. Thanks for all the bruv luv. I know you’ve been asking for me to share some good stuff for a long time, so it’s such a pleasure to share. Speaking of “long time”, it seems I’ve been waiting forever for this to happen and now I’ve arrived, the timing seems perfect. I was telling D...
