Thanks for the heads up! I think we'll see it but barely. Towards the end of the trip we have a few fly and play the same day gigs and that's one of them!

Talking Stick Resort is a pretty decent hotel/casino. I've stayed there, and left a few donations in the slots. If you are not local to Arizona, it would be a good weekend getaway to book a few nights at the Talking Stick Resort in conjunction with your concert.

Big time congrats Tom. We will see you at Elephant Talking Stick on AZ.
And remind me when we have that duo gig again in Colorado Springs
I'm sure this tour will be fantastick.

Big congrats! Definitely the grand prize of all Stick related opening gigs, for sure. I'm a big fan of yours and Bert's "Untamed Lands" album...

And one of my best concert memories ever was Halloween night 1995 in Fort Worth, TX at Will Rogers Auditorium to see KC. We in the audience were surprised to learn there was an opening act: The California Guitar Trio (Bert & co). They blew everyone away. Speechless. 5 minute standing ovations, two demands of encores. Not your normal opening act experience, for sure.

All the best!

I was blessed to have seen them on that same tour. Best opening act ever - and to open for that particular KC lineup!! I’m sure the Zappa Band will be fine when we see them here in August, but if I had my ‘druthers…. ;)

Hah! One of "those" types of agencies talked to me yesterday about something else.. but got excited about this. I told them Bert lives in FL and they said they sometimes do events there too, so... who knows?

Thanks Brian! An encore in this scenario would be interesting, haha.. we haven't (yet) even talked about what that might be. But hey... we have two days of rehearsal coming up so I suppose it's a good thing to bring up ;-) Mostly we're just focused on how to get on and off stage quickly right now, haha. And thanks too for the Unnamed Lands comment... it was fun bringing much of that back out for the virtual concert we did: https://youtu.be/KPjWT0jNcSQ. Cheers!

I have been kicking around the idea of going to the Show here in town. That Venue in Sandy is pretty nice.

Oops. Yes..."UnNAMED Lands". I knew that ;)

I know your music better than your titles...

Yes Tom, Bert has my full permission to quote from any of my words about your duo. "Unnamed Lands" certainly has depth and fulfills its promise. Such a diligent work! I hope it takes you and Bert on a long ride career-wise.
