Post Re: Teflon Article - Synth Fundamentals
I have not heard stick insect, sounds cool. I will have to check it out. Perry, thanks for the link to your music. Is there anywhere to download without signing up? It sounded pretty neat so far, though I only heard 2 clips. Whats your take on the stick synth thing? Any gear tricks or whatever? My take is that the GI-20 is the fastest with the least glitches, although it seems that the synth makes a difference in performance too. I usually use a novation k-station, as it works great technically and is pretty psychedelic(the way I program it). Occasionally I have had good results with playing with the right hand and turning knobs with the left. But thats usually with a bass loop going. Playing with one hand still seems kinda strange and I don't usually do it, but you do come up with new ideas and phrasing. Overall I am still experimenting with it because its real fun, though I don't use it live.
