Post New discoveries and lessons
The past year was obviously devoid of gigs. More time to explore and discover the musical treasures that are hidden within The Stick. Unique harmonies, chord voicings, techniques and sonic architecture were unearthed during these sessions. Extremely gratifying even after almost 4 decades of Stick playing.
Skype teaching continues 7 days/week. All styles and levels.
If interested contact me at

Practicing at 7am.....no late night gigs
Thanks

Steve Adelson

I highly recommend Steve for lessons. He is able to adapt to your learning style and provides input on where you need to focus. Steve also is a good resource on theory as it relates to the stick, and music in general.

Steve, any in-person lessons for AZ-dwelling stick players who are fully vaccinated?

Hi Mark. Thanks for the positive comments.
Yes, if you're fully vaxed, we can do in person lessons, in my casita studio. I think you're about 35 mins away. Let me know.
The AC will be cranking

I too have greatly benefited from my lessons with Steve. He is a master of theory and also explaining things in a cogent and straightforward manner. Honestly, in the beginning I had such a fear of theory etc... Steve got me past that and I am a much better player thanks to his instruction

I have become a theory freak. Looking forward to scheduling some time with Steve at some point.

More spots open for lessons. With temps this summer hitting 118F, there's no hiking or outdoor anything. More time to shed and teach
No long term commitments. Any level, genre.

Let's hope your lessons aren't given in a real woodshed.
Steve's book is great.

Does anyone know of a legitimate source for Steve's DVD (or equivalent download) now that it's no longer available from Truefire or SE (so far as I'm aware)?
