I've added an update to the story on my site about how downloads of one of my first Stick recordings, made in 1995, were released worldwide last year, without any permission from, valid contract or other arrangement made with me and for which I have never been paid anything at any time.
Subsequent to the original article which some of you may remember reading, I spent most of last summer right up until Christmas fielding emails from Mungo Jerry (Ray Dorset) and his advisors, friends and associates of one kind or another, which seems to have been rather a waste of time.
I have, therefore, written the update, here :

...for several reasons:
1) chiefly to warn others of what could also happen to them, even when dealing with well-known people and companies who you might think didn't need and could afford not to rip off people like me,
2) to set the record straight about what transpired in the correspondence last year, and
3) as probably my only means of drawing a line under the whole thing - although, the downloads are still, very annoyingly, out there and continue to cause me considerable problems one way and another.
The article has a "Digg" button and a "share" button, please use those should you feel inclined to do so, on the grounds that people should be aware that this kind of thing goes on, that it can and does happen - and most importantly and above all, that doing so might just possibly prevent this from happening again to somebody else.

- but I guess anyone in my position at the time would have gone with the deal they offered.) Plus, I have around ten other CD's which I think are actually a lot better, more recent (and very different) - I'd actually conditioned myself over the years into believing that this one didn't exist, until those downloads surfaced... (what was that I was saying about karma earlier ?)
- but I think it's highly improbable, somehow...
