Post New STRING PLANET CD and live webcast
Hi everyone,

Larry Tuttle here, from STRING PLANET - formerly with FREEWAY PHILHARMONIC.

I have two announcements:

First, we have a new CD out, "SONGS FROM THE HOME PLANET". It's myself on Stick, Novi on viola and Jo Pusateri on drums, mallets and percussion. The theme of this CD is quirky (OK, maybe even goofy) arrangements of other people's material. We have versions of "Lady Madonna", "Sukiyaki", "Stranger On The Shore" and three classical covers (remember the old ELP days??) - "Carnival of the Animals" (Saint-Saens), "Anitra's Dance" (Grieg) and "Love For Three Oranges" (Prokofiev). You can hear sound clips at our web site http://www.stringplanet.com or our myspace site http://www.myspace.com/stringplanet. And you can buy it either at our web site, CD Baby or Amazon. We're pretty proud of it - check it out. I'm playing on my 6 + 6 grand purpleheart Stick with the custom pickups - hope you like it.

The second announcement is:

We're doing a live webcast Saturday night March 15th from Kulak's Woodshed. Just go to http://www.kulakswoodshed.com - 8:00 PM Saturday night - and if you miss it, I think you can see it in the archives later (I think - not quite sure how to do that). Anyway, we'll be playing as a duo that night, and they have six cameras shooting live - very cool.

OK - that's it for now - thanks,

Larry Tuttle

Good call on the live webcast. I hope it gets archived too in case my computer won't stream it. Generally these days the webcasts work better. Tuttle is an awesome player!

Hi Larry,

Welcome to stickist.com. Your new disc is brilliant! There will be a feature on it in a couple of days on stick.com.

Greg, the link in stick.com is wrong, when you click on Larry's CD you end up in Lee Vatip's CD reviews ;-)

A bit of an old thread but i have add my 2 cents. I just got this CD two days ago and it's amazing!!!!!!!! I won't go into details because there are too many details to go into ... it's THAT good!

All I can say is buy yourself a copy of this disk ... you'll be glad you did!!!
