An interesting TED conference lecture about listening featuring Evelyn Glennie, a deaf percussionist.

Wonderful lecture.

http://www.TED.com is an awesome site filled with inspiring lectures --> technology-entertainment-design; I've spent quite a bit of time there over the years.

I have been inspired many a time by TED lectures. There are some fantastic human beings out there.

Here is another musical one:

Evelyn Glennie is great. If you can find it, see the documentary about her, Touch the Sound. I bought it because Fred Frith is in it, but now I'm a fan of hers as well.

Going off topic... Yeah, fred frith is great. I just finished the web site for perpared guitarist, janet feder who recorded a great album with fred called ironic universe. There are some really great tracks! It is worth checking out and it has a DVD as well if you're a fan.

Thanks, I'll pick that one up. He's got so many (always interesting) recordings out, it's difficult to keep up with them all....
