Post subject:  Some of my favourite YouTube moments

I really like fishing around on YouTube. There are many gems amongst the great sea of dross if you just keep looking. I thought That I'd share a few that I've really enjoyed this past year:

Ever heard of an Igil? It's a weird one stringed instrument, but it sure sounds cool when this guy plays it!

Any fans of 'Flight of the conchords'? They are just the funniest guys in music these days. I love this song, but honestly, check out anything with their name on it:

Pachabels cannon has never been the same since I saw this:

There are lots of terrible guitarists on YouTube, but what the heck, they're just having fun! This is the best 'bedroom' guitarist I've found so far, playing some seriously difficult stuff once he gets going:

If I can sneak in just one non-musical number, I love to watch the 'dancing' of David Elsewhere. Freaky stuff!:

And finally, I can't possibly post videos without including my favourite ever guitarist, the superb Thomas Blug. Feel and tone tone die for and beautiful melodic compositions:

Feel free to comment on any of these or post your own faves, I've intentionally left stick stuff out on this occasion.

One of my favourite musicians, with both chops and soul:

And lastly, I had a playlist of over 30 versions of Super Mario Bros for the gamers out there; but it doesn't seem accessible!

P.S. This jem had my jaw on the floor for quite some time:

Great thread and some great links too. Thanks!
One of my favorite musician, always a very sensitive moment when I see him playing live.
It's a video in which he improvises some lines on some chords changes. One more proof that hand movement is one of the key to play in a musical way, I guess...

Wow, that Kevin Keith video is excellent! I've never even heard of him before. What an awesome bassline!

If I can just share one more, not everyone's cup of tea but my second favourite guitarist is Guthrie Govan. I guess that you would call him a shredder. Here he plays one of his tracks, with a lick to die for at 1.44!

Wow...that Thomas Blug is a fantastic player. I'd wager that he has spent many hours of his youth playing along with Jeff Beck recordings. The song that you posted Twizzle, channeled "Because We Ended As Lovers" (for me anyway) on Beck's Blow by Blow album.

Thanks for the posting.

Yes, big Jeff Beck influence going on there. TB actually covers "Because We Ended As Lovers" on a CD of his, a slightly more 'fiery' version. I met Thomas at a guitar show a couple of years back, really nice guy. There were loads of shredders all over the place making a right unGodly racket, and then out came this beautiful music ..... I stood about 2 metres away for three half hour sessions and it was mesmerising!
