Just a note to let anyone interested know this is a good time to get on the schedule.

Kids are off school for the summer so I can teach later into the night.

If you are interested in signing up, let me know. Details at:

Hey Greg,

Are you able to offer lessons for us luddites using bass fourths tuning, or would I need to be on a newfangled inverse tuning?

(no offence to your teaching chops intended, natch)

Hi Rob,

First off, the right hand is the same. And you still want to learn hand movement in the left hand as well, so no problem. I'm not as keen on trying to teach the hand movement on an instrument with a body because it's hard to get the left hand's angle to be correct. What kind of Stick are you playing?

Hi everyone,

I'll be setting aside Thursday afternoons (East Coast time) for skype lessons for European students. If you have been wanting to arrange lessons, but have had a hard time with the scheduling, please consider Thursday evenings from 8-11 your time as a possibility.

Info about lessons is here:

I haven't gotten all the way through this thread yet, and this is an old post, but this is one of the funniest Stick-related things I've seen here yet. Just love this!

(OK, I'll go back to reading...)

Had a lesson via FaceTime last night. This works even better than skype and google video, but I think the means for recording it are not as good (yet)

no interruptions and it seemed as though we could have a more normal conversation.

We were both on WiFi. I wouldn't try this with iPhone via 3G, I don't think, but it works great over WiFi.
