Post Now offering Washington DC-area private lessons
Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I confirmed a new teaching position at the Music School at Jammin' Java in Vienna, Virginia, near Washington, DC.

I'll be offering private Fee Hands lessons there the 2nd Saturday of each month, beginning May 14th. Minimum lesson time is one hour, so I'll only be able to take seven students each Saturday. Lesson times will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis, and you can sign up for a two-hour lesson if you want as well.

Beginners are welcome and encouraged, and if you'd like to use a lesson as an intensive introduction to the instrument, I'll have an extra instrument with me, so you don't even need to have a Stick.

Jammin Java is near Tysons Corner and convenient to I-495.

If you have any questions, please feel free to post them here or email me at stickist@aol.com

To register please contact Rebecca at: jjmusicschool@gmail.com or by phone at: 703/371-5618

This is WONDERFUL news, Greg! I will definitely be signing up for some lessons in the near future.

Also, I saw you perform at Jammin Java two years ago, opening for Harper, for a charity benefit. It was a great show and a great venue.

Thanks for the reminder about a great gig. Harper put on an incredible show.

I have family in the area so it will be great to be up there more often, too.

That is pretty cool. I have wished for something like this forever. Its great to have a teacher available to that extent. next step is a collage degree in stickology!
Congrats, I bet that will turn out really well.

Hi Ben,

There's always skype!

It looks like the folks who signed up so far are mainly interested in monthly lessons. And there are still some slots open...

I don't have a music degree, so professorship is out, but I bet I could get accredited to offer a B.S. in Free Hands! ;)

I had a two hour lesson with Greg this afternoon. It was well worth the drive (around 2.5hrs round trip) for me. We covered so much ground in that time, that it's going to be enough to keep me busy for weeks, and fine tuning for months! Greg really has a grasp on the technique he teaches, and can clearly articulate each aspect of it both with playing examples and verbal explanations.

If anyone has the chance to sign up for lessons with Greg, don't pass it up!

Thanks for making the drive, Ted, and glad the lesson worked for you. Your playing has progressed a lot since FredTap II.

For anyone else who might be interested, the next two scheduled Saturdays are June 11th and July 9th. Currently, times available between 12-5 on both days.

email me if you have any questions or to check on times before registering: stickist@aol.com
