Post Helix and Crosstalk
Trying to get some patches built in my Helix for my Railboard. It seems that I'm having a hard time getting a good high gain sound out of the melody side without it bleeding into my bass signal. Has anyone else had this experience or have guidance in this particular arena? I've heard it is inherent of high gain to bleed so I've tried to be modest high my gain settings. But it seems I can't have a buzz saw without the crosstalk. Thanks.

You might be able to cut some of those frequencies out with the three band parametric EQ. I’ve been able to use it as a notch filter for acoustic guitars without robbing the tone. Highly adjustable.

Try using less gain and more energy from your hands...

Post Re: Helix and Crosstalk
Helix & Stomp discussions have really gained some steam on the Acoustic Guitar Forum over the last couple of weeks. Many acoustics have multi pickup systems which can be a lot more troublesome than crosstalk on a stick ( I have a doubleneck, and process mine with a bit more effort to separate the two necks than I do with a Stick).

Someone recently posted to watch how you process stereo vs mono effects. A Line 6 tech told him not to use stereo effects too early in each chain, use mono in the beginning of separate signal paths. He was also using IR’s in each path.
