As many of you here know, Fergus played Stick with the Canadian musical legend Bruce Cockburn for many years (and may still?). I'm not sure if this video has made the rounds before, but it is an exceptional performance by the whole band; especially Mr. Marsh who is filling so much space sonically with his Stick playing, and he's tight as a drum!
The quality of the audio/video is excellent, especially compared with many other concert videos from the 80s. Enjoy, if you haven't already!

Fergus spent some time touring with Peter Murphy as well. So he went from Bruce Cockburn to the Godfather of Goth. The man has covered some musical ground for sure.

For what it's worth...I'm pretty sure that's Ferg's brother Hugh Marsh on violin. The Marsh bros get around within the Canadian music scene & beyond. I have a friend in the nearby city of Regina that recorded a solo instrumental album that features Hugh on a few tracks.
And two decades ago, back in my church praise music days in Texas, I played bass & Stick on a two album release by artists Keith & Sanna Luker. The Lukers released an album that followed a few years later with Fergus on Stick.
I'm still scratching my head. Did Ferg actually fill MY shoes?? Ha! Coincidence, I'm sure...
Never heard of this guy, I always find great musicians on this site.
I love the guy that plays the violin like a guitar.
Haha, make music any way you can. Rock and roll !

Yes, Fergus is a great Stick player, he was one of the very first Stickists I saw on TV - with Bruce Cockburn. Looong before Youtube existed! And very inspiring to me because of his excellent bass-playing-on-the-Stick. As mentioned above, he still makes great music, see his Facebook page and Youtube channel.
