Im well versed in music theory and thats my current approach to playing Stick --- Im just using typical chord construction......Im also using PolyChord approaches, much in the same way I comp on keyboards or play keyboards w left hand bass: C Major triad with Bb Major triad = dom7 chord family, etc

Stick is awesome for polychords. Steve can confirm.

I am taking Skype lessons from Steve A.. He gives me a lot to work about once or twice a month. Most of the time I forget the stuff he teaches me pretty quick I'm lucky to retain 25%. There are just so many ways to make chords and bass runs I have figure out how to do it and do it the same Everytime. I find that when I am learning something I try using certain fingers but when I screw up one of my other fingers hits the note that I am looking for if that makes any sense. It may be a good thing but the bass side is a big stretch ,I want to start a line with p and end with p using pima fingerstyle call outs sometimes I start inadvertently with m an end with m if that makes any sense. Not used to talking on text. I haven't written anything in a long time. Rock and roll. My friend The Rock he gave me a stick

25% is pretty good, dude! lol I personally have an excellent memory for that sort of thing, It was actual execution that was kind of tricky for me...Y'know, Steve gives stuff in a way that you can look back on and revisit later on once you've leveled up a bit...
