 Tuning Poll 2024
We'll be running the 2024 Tuning Poll for seven days, be sure to let your tuning be represented! You can add up to two instruments to the poll. If you've got one on order, feel free to add that.
These are the current SE offerings - we understand that 8-string bass, SG-12, alto and NS players are not represented ins this poll - that is for another day There are quite a few custom tunings, all of which are out of scope for this.
This should be helpful for new players as well as for seasoned players that are considering a second instrument in a different tuning.
Thanks and cheers.

 Re: Tuning Poll 2024
Where is the "none of the above" option? Yes, I saw the 'only standard tunings comment, but could not resist...

 Re: Tuning Poll 2024
I added a custom option as you have a good point in the many varieties of tuning for Chapman and NS Sticks.

 Re: Tuning Poll 2024
Full Baritone for the 10-String, but I'll try an experiment: I'm currently waiting for new strings, then I'll try "Full Tenor": D4 A3 E2 B2 F#2 G1 D2 A2 E3 B3, which are the strings 1-5 and 7-12 of the classic 12-string tuning (or Full Baritone going a 4th higher).
This is the same tuning I use on the Alto (strings 2-11 of the SG-12 Matched Reciprocal).

? Not sure I know that one… JAJAJA - it looks we invented a new tuning Scronk! That tuning could only be played while looking in a mirror OR played from the multiverse. Thanks for finding that, I have updated the list.

This is the same tuning I use on the Alto (strings 2-11 of the SG-12 Matched Reciprocal). I had to check the tuning chart to fully grasp that one, my head was spinning. I see that it uses the same raised bass side with D as the lowest fretted note and that the melody side is down a step from the baritone tuning. My mind processes that as Raised Deep Baritone Melody, although Tenor rolls off the tongue a bit easier.

 Re: Tuning Poll 2024
Okay, so to be clear, if you modify a Stickiest poll, you lose the results. So - no more modifications. That being said, I have added an item for custom, removed the 12-string Baritone Melody (same as Classic 12) and removed the invented Dual Matched Reciprocal 12. Tip of hat to Scronk, Meguel and to Davidws for the comments - if you have submitted your tuning, you may want to try again. Thanks.
