 My very first... ...Chapman Stick concert is going to be on saturday! (28.02.09)
So WISH me LUCK, gotta need it!
This gig is in Nesodden, the outskirts of Oslo. (I play at a festival, so I don't play 'till 23:00.)

Love Adrian Hi Adrian, Make sure you have someone take a picture, you might really want that someday. I remember when I first started playing (1985), it was two years before I even met another Stick player. But I sent my tapes to Emmett, and he always sent back very encouraging letters. Different times for sure!

Different times for sure! I sure wish I had connected with Emmett and the Stick community in 1990 when I first tried playing the Stick. I might even have kept playing with that kind of encouragement! So, Adrian, do get some pictures or even a video and let us see them. The kind of feedback you get from the guys on this forum is really valuable. -Eric

I will send some pictures, and hopefully tape it as well. My drummer films often our concerts (with a help from his dad)

Re: My very first... Go Adrian! I hope it is (was) fun.  My former band, which I still perform with as a substitute about 1x/month, keeps asking me to bring the stick to a gig, but I am chicken (afraid). Funny, that I'll play solo for people, but am too nervous to play with a band. But, I am encouraged now. Maybe I'll go to a local blues jam soon, I'm bound to be the best Stick player there.
