Hi All.

Does anyone know of plug ins for Sibelius. I just downloaded a demo for Noteperformer last night, SO good. I was hoping I might improve on that by having a great stick sound for my notation program.

Any thoughts?

A bit of a revival of the thread but....

To be honest, programs like Sibelius and such won't have any form of decent playback unless you're using external sample libraries (like VSL) and in which case they don't have the stick. And even when you have libraries, it's really quick that any slightly more complex technique isn't properly rendered anyways. These notation programs are really mainly just to do that, notation. That said, I'll probably be making some stick notation instruments in Sibelius 7.5 soon and I can probably just upload it here. I'll be using it to transcribe stuff by myself, plus I use Sibelius a lot for work so I'm becoming quite used to it.

That would be great, Norstick - my daughter and I would really appreciate that. (She's headed to university in a year or so for a composition undergrad, and she already has some ideas lined up for Stick that she'd like to capture. My use of Sibelius is a bit less formal at this point.)
