Telling you right now, this Friday is really going to be fun. Just off a quick test run with Per and Dave on a google hangout....

I can't remember how it came up but we were letting Per know there might be some questions we didn't account for - and he immediately charged in and said, Yeah, on Friday let's talk about something totally different!

BAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Then we had a 10 minute debate on buried food, rice cookers and the FBI. I seriously have no way of knowing where Per's improvisational spirit and Dave's good humor is going to take this - some place fun no doubt!

Cracking up and in tears as I write this. Dave, Per, we are in for a great conversation on Friday. I cannot wait to hear what this pairing (Pering?!) of Stickists dreams up!

Again. Fun to watch.

Per Boysen FHF

Tap softly and crank your amp.

Per's live rig:

Laptop w RME Fireface 400 interface

Fractal Audio FX 2

Studio speakers - two small Genlecs

Too bad Per's Stick volume was so low. His playing sounds so beautiful.

Play from the heart.

Next week Flint Blade.

Yes, but it wasn't low here. I had two microphones: one for talking and the other one close to a Stick speaker. They were cabled into the right vs left stereo channel on the external audio interface that I had properly assigned my computer system in the G+/Chrome preferences. Obviously either the Chrome browser or the G+ chat system picks up only the left channel of a stereo feed. Well, now we know about that so others can avoid that trap. Next time I chat and play over G+ I will put my Roland Street Cube on the desk beside me and crank it into the same mic I'm talking through.

Thank you everyone for the great chat! I had prepared something totally different but Dave's intelligent questions inspired me to linger on other topics... maybe that was a good thing.

It would also be a good idea for the subject to record their audio, which could be easily synced later on in case there are any such issues.

Great show guys, I finally caught the replay on YouTube.
Sorry to have missed out on joining in but G+ was being a pain in the butt. It kept wanting to D/L the plugin, multiple times on multiple browsers!

Cheers,
Eric

Definitely a great show. Per and Dave were a great match and I am looking forward to watching the show again in it's entirety tonight.

Thanks for the suggestions too. With a different guest / host each week, it's hard to say whether a separate audio recording is feasible. Additionally, the lag we experience with so many people at different levels of latency creates a bit of conundrum for adding audio at a later time.

Better done than perfect.

This Friday is Matt Tate hosting Jet-Set Stickist Flint Blade!
