Re: RECAP: Free Hands Friday #75
Hey Gene, thanks so much for the flattering review of my CD. I really appreciate the
Weather Report comparison, nowhere near that good but I love those guys and saw
them play a bunch of times...
I was surprised that you liked the first track so much ("Pineapple Jones"). I cringe about that one, so rhythmically challenged am I
but the song has a strange energy or feel to it that when you are in the right mood it really takes you somewhere. I like to think of the music
as 'drawing music' , good for that dual concentration aspect of the mind, it's a massage
for the right hemisphere
.
Anyway thanks again for listening and taking the time on FHF.
I am working on new stuff and a better web presence but below are some links to a
a Stick improv, Sound Cloud and CD baby. I am slightly proud to say that I did
sell out of my CD from doing live performances but CD Baby seems to say they still have
some hard copies left if anyone wants one
.
I need to get to work on the new CD I have been tinkering with (at the mastering stage),
but I might be able to do some remixing on "Going Up Dragon Mountain" for a re issue,
and see if I can get The Stick to stand out a little more.

I forgot to mention TAGG Interface; I have not had time to to get it all set up
but the quality of the build is very good and it fits the stick perfectly, not to tight, but
firm and snug. It will be very interesting to explore a new way of approaching The Stick
.
