Happy New Year Stickists.

First open mic for the year at a venue I've been at twice before. I like this place a lot, the stick comes alive in a nice PA going in via a pair of those fine Canadian Radial DI's I have and my old delay & chorus pedals.
The Act before blew the roof off as she powered though Roxanne & Lady Marmalade among others with a huge voice and really soulful performance accompanied with nice guitar by a guy who was a Bob Marley look alike in a hat. So I think Hmmmm, I better make this good as last act of the night!

Anyway , quick sound check, the engineer knows the rig now, crank it up and into it.
I love playing when the sound off the PA is loud and responsive, had a few little slips that probably went unnoticed and got through I think my best ever "Aint no sunshine " with vocals. I am getting used to singing and playing which is really satisfying, but a tad tricky. All up the 4 pieces went down well, 3 originals and one cover. The experience I reckon is invaluable compared to doing the same thing at home. Hope to get a few more in at other venues in the coming weeks. Cheers :ugeek:

Nice work, Bruce! Audio samples next time, if you can.

Great stuff Bruce- that's a step I've yet to take. Not sure how I'd go flying solo at the moment, I'm too reliant on the band making me look good. More practice!
