Post subject:  Back in Singapore!

Over a year since I was last here & squeezed 7 open mics into 14 days. Just a short stop , maybe a few days, but hours after landing I got to The Crazy Elephant a rockin live music venue in the "Party Quarter "of Town. I love Singapore at night, always buzzing , 7 nights a week. Anyway, the house band on Sunday is a blues flavoured affair, very tidy players , lots of fun. Turns out the band leader & host remembered me from another venue last time, a Canadian guy whose favourite remark is " I remember those little Chapman Stick ads in Guitar player magazine, never thought I'd see one...twice"
Anyway plugged into a Bass & Guitar Amp on stage after their first set and got 3 songs in. Lots of fun, lots of slightly puzzled faces watching. Two Originals with a blues flavour & Aint No Sunshine, two with vocals. Had a blast, but tomorrow its off to the shipyard, work beckons :|
Some pics below.

I envy you, Bruce. You've chosen an adventurous life, if my perspective is of any benefit to you.

Something obvious from your photos:
- Lower that hunched right shoulder.
- Untwist that right wrist.
- Shoulder sloping naturally, you'll feel better, look better.
- All that's needed is a more vertical Stick angle.

I suggest this with empathy because I couldn't rid myself of that posture for the first three years.

Thanks Emmett!
Glad to hear that , for a little while now I've been wondering about posture & body position generally. I was starting to feel it should be more comfortable, given what I'd read about this over the years, so I'll certainly start to look into this, many thanks.

Way to go Bruce! Killing it......you met a Canadian too. We’re good peeps....most of the time.
Emmett’s thoughts on hunched shoulders, still one of my downfalls as I see and feel this in my own playing. Work in progress.
Great to see you getting out and spreading the Stick luv me bro.

Cheers,
Kev
