Post Re: Evolution of a Pedalboard
Good enough, I'll eventually get one for my busking setup. Thanks.

Post Re: Evolution of a Pedalboard
Here's the latest incarnation of my pedalboard (I think I'm done with that for a while)

Image

Routing :
0melody strings : output B from the StepABout preamp --> BB preamp --> Trinity --> chorus Maxon --> Boss DD7 --> TimeFactor

bass strings : output A from the StepABout preamp --> SV2 Guyatone --> TimeFactor

Now, I have any excuse to put on ice some new recordings

This is what I always think after a major redo, but then it takes a week or two and I have new ideas... ;-)
Anyway, this looks very usable and made for performing. I would change the order of DD7 and the Maxon Chorus, because this would make the delay sound more "living", but this is the only thing I would change. Anyway this surely depends on your personal taste...

Yep! When will we hear some recordings with this setup?

Best,

I didn't try this particular order between delay and chorus. I may give it a try :?
Well, these days, I'm in a process of writing/recording some tunes that I'll play next june for an ensemble with two singers, a harpist, a drummer and me (it's an exam to integrate the next level/degree of this conservatory), but I may record some rearranged jazz tunes in between to breath a bit from that project... ;)

I currently rearrange "One note Samba" for my new Grand. It's going to be named "Twelve note samba"...

(Sorry, couldn't resist)

I wrote a tune, in which the first part is a bit inspired by the intro of Phase Dance from Metheny. I intitled it "la Danse du triphasé" (in english, "the Triphased-man Dance" I think

Post Re: Evolution of a Pedalboard
The last weeks with my new Bamboo Grand affected my pedalboard a lot. I kicked out one pedal after the other and finally have an extremely reduced board:

More evolution pictures at flickr

The signal path is as follows:
The beginning of the chain is same for both sides, melody and bass. Stick -> TheMMamp preamp -> TheMMburgs stereo compressor.
After that the bass side goes into the amp. (Glockenklang Passenger Combo)
The melody side continues -> Voodoo Vibe -> Not A Bomb Overdrive/Boost -> Volume Pedal -> AC30 amp

Currently I don't think I want to reduce it any further... ;-)

Best,
TheMM
