The Railboard is SOLD!

The buyer was a local guy who happened to be the person that I sold one of my Polycarbonate stick. Very good "natural" player, nice musical ear and rythym. I believe the sticks are in good hands.

So, only the Maple SB8 Stick bass is available.

URGENT! POSSIBLE FRAUD / SCAM ATTEMPT

It has come to my attention that someone has stolen my pictures of the SB8 and has made an ad in the local classifieds of eBay Germany.

Please do not contact this person! If you already have, do not send any money! I don't know him/her and have no relation to this "seller". My stick is safe and sound with me, so I can only think that he will ask for money and then never send the stick.

I have already contacted the website to have this ad removed. I hope that no on has already fallen for this.

Walt, that truly sucks.... I think only people signed in to Sticklist can actually view the images - is this the only place you have posted them ??

I want to add that that Stickbass 8 you have there is really sweet !!
But right now, there's no way I could afford it............

Looking at the 4th of those images I see that the arrangement at the top of the neck (the equivalent of a nut) has the strings running over what I think are set screws. That's different to the pictures I currently see for the SB on SE. Is that an older arrangement (pre-'Flaps' maybe?), or something else?

Yes, this is a pre-flaps stick! IMHO, I don't think this is an issue, as you can adjust the height independently with the screws.

Ah. I thought that would be case, but I hadn't seen a picture of the pre-flaps arrangement.

I agree that the old style 'nut' isn't an issue. I like simple engineering solutions and I'm sure that while 'Flaps' were introduced as an advance there is something to be said for each approach.

In case anyone else is interested in this SB8, at present I'm not a potential 'rival' buyer as I've decided to look for a Stick or Railboard.
