I’m a life long musician and ready to settle down with a Chapman stick. Looking for 10 or 12 string in good playable condition. Interested in a Railboard or bamboo but open to finding the right instrument. Would be willing to drive within the Pacific Northwest to pick up. I live in Oregon USA Seeking one for sale. Thanks |

Hello! Some hints might be useful -- where are you, what's your budget, do you have any preferences as to your instrument (grand, railboard, any old thing)? |

10 string Railboard, blue with all the fixins. 2018 model. Found on reverb in mint condition. Spent the morning contemplating and pulled the trigger. Can’t wait to explore this new instrument. Do you have any amplifier suggestions? Thanks for the support! |

For a highly portable practice amp, I'm using the Fender Mustang Micro. Stickem wrote: Do you have any amplifier suggestions? Thanks for the support! |

FRFR (full range flat response) "PA" style work well with Chapman stick (though you'll need some signal conditioning like a preamp - but same for guitar, etc) Headrush makes some, QSC seem pretty popular for plug-straight-in, I think the Quilter mach 3 is nice - it's got 2 discrete channels (they share a reverb and trem) which is good for stick so you can handle each side separately...though it's collapsed into mono for the actual amplification [note there arent separate effects loops if you are looking to use a lot of effects] OTOH, if you decide to go to 2 discrete sides through "guitar/bass amps" (as opposed to PA) - then the quilter can pull double duty as a single amp or the melody side of a pair FWIW the Q in QSC is Quilter the little phil jones bass cubs can also be decent, they do sound bigger than they are and they also have dual channels - in practice, I don't find them THAT much smaller than the Mach 3 |
