I changed the battery and still got buzz.... Hmmm, might be from the lights or lead paint or something Idk I'm not totally concerned about it right now, I can find ways around it for the time being.

My Rick bass picks up noise when I'm stiitng in front of my laptop recording tracks. Computer monitors are notorious noise generators.. Did you try physically moving around to see if it changes?.
If the noise doesn't change when you move around then it may be a cable or something in wiring as Gene mentioned.

oh gosh, my battered '77 4001s makes loads of snap crackle and pop, but when she's on, she is on......!!

I have an NS here, I'll have to plug mine in later and see if I notice anything odd about the pickup/s or anything.....

The pickups are just emg ft ( telecaster neck ) pickups so google around for those and you’ll see stuff on telecaster /guitar forums if there’s anything regarding that . I’ve done searches before and not seen any noise issues for what it’s worth . When my instrument cables have been on the hairy edge I’ve had the emg sound like it was having problems , but no it was the cable

Just as a reference, mine is virtually noisless if I don't turn the treble up a lot (when it is a bit hissy). That is also in areas where I would have other single coil instruments that get a bit of a buzz, so maybe there is a shielding issue somewhere

ok, as promised - I plugged mine in, got some buzz, swapped out the cable, buzz was still the same, fooled around with the input jack, on amp, buzz is gone, so with me - bad solder joint or something on the amp, so one more thing to work on.... but instrument is super clean and quiet.

Not sure if you did this - but check your cables and equipment, your instrument might be fine, it might be something else further down the chain.....
