Greetings. I'm looking for suggestions for a guitar stand that will fit the NS Stick's smallish body. All of my regular guitar stands seem to be putting pressure on the strap lock the previous owner installed. What are people using? TIA! |

I'm about to find out if my Stick stand will work early next week, but I might just do like I used to do with my old Steinbergers - just lean 'em up against the speaker cab of whatever amp rig I am using. |

I was thinking the same thing - my Stick stand, which is similar to yours should work just fine... the only hitch might be that infernal rod for the upper strap, but that's going good-bye... no way am I dealing with that as I don't feel like going to the hospital any time soon..... |

The cheapest guitar stand from the big music store works just fine for me. I may have spread the next support part but no issues. |

Not sure what you mean by that, never had issues with the strap arm and I would not recommend removing it. Standing up and often in a seated position the strap helps stabilize the instrument while playing. No issues with it hitting a stand. The only issues I’ve found with guitar stands is a few that are too narrow for the neck. I can use either the Stick stand I bought from SE, or use a couple of guitar stands I have. The NS has a wider body at the bottom that can work with a number of guitar stands out there. With my Grand Stick I can only use the Stick stand. |

Years ago, after I got my used 10 string poly, I took one of the old Ultimate stands from the 90's (the Klingon Bird Of Prey looking ones, remember those?) and converted it into a Stick stand. Attachment: IMG_20200607_115515.jpg Attachment: IMG_20200607_114414.jpg Attachment: IMG_20200607_114114.jpg My Stick's belt hook is what actually sits on the wooden rest I made. This leaves just about 1/2" of clearance for the Stick's bridge from the floor. This particular polycarb model did not have the distinctive butt-end of the latter models and I did not want to rest the Stick on the bridge. I had also fabricated a small stand out of Starboard (a plastic resin) that disassembled for storage. Attachment: stand1.jpg Attachment: stand2.jpg The whole thing comes apart in 4 sections. The material wasn't the strongest and eventually one of the "legs" snapped in half. I plan on making a wooden one that folds into itself. I made this one to fit my particular belt hook adjustment. |
