Thought you all might be interested in a simple NS/Stick practice device that just took a little modification to produce. It won't produce any useful sound, but it is a very close replica of the string spacing and string height of the 4 melody strings of an NS/Stick. Really easy to travel with too. I come from a bass playing background and trying to train my right hand to do anything useful other than pluck and slap borders on comical. I find that I can develop excellent muscle memory and right hand strength using a device like this. Here's how I modded it from Bass to NS/Stick:
I used a Shredneck Bass (search for them). The string spacing at the nut was already close to NS/Stick spacing. I removed the existing bass saddle and replaced it with one I cut from a piece of ebony. I notched the saddle for NS/Stick melody side spacing and height, and voila, reproduced melody side of an NS/Stick. 3 pictures in the attachments.
I imagine the same principle could apply to any instrument in the SE product line FWIW.
Shout out to Gary Jibilian for being an inspiration and all around great guy!
