 New NS/Stick ordered
Decided to get a NS/Stick this week. Now, the wait begins for its completion.

 Re: New NS/Stick ordered
Thanks! I originally wanted wenge body and neck. But that was going to take too long for me to wait. Decided to go with Ash dyed black and Bamboo with black dots. I wonder if it’s shipped yet?

 Re: New NS/Stick ordered
Congrats on the NS/Stick! Mine took 69 days from order to door. It's probably done now. [gearstudios runs to the door to check...] Maybe now? OR....now? Stickmas will be here before you know it!

 Re: New NS/Stick ordered
The wait for a wenge body was going to take 7 to 9 months for the build. I couldn’t wait that long. Lol. 2-3 months sounded better. I liked the way yours turned out paigan0. I’ve had instruments before with wenge and I liked the raw feel of the wood grain. I can always get another one with wenge at a later date.

That's funny, because I was strongly leaning towards a stained ash, but decided that the wenge on wenge is really nice. They're ALL nice. The starbursts are especially purty!

And only in Michigan can one find a bunch of Stick players with Graphite Grands and Wenge on Wenge NS’s https://sb.smugmug.com/Music/Music-Related/i-tTdrWCg/A

Ha! Steve's (MichNS) Wenge on Wenge NS/Stick was what put me over the top in choosing Wenge and not the Stained Ash! Of course, Steve, you had both an older one and a new one. Here's a bigger look at me and Lord Vader from my profile pic: And that there are 3 Michigan Stick players named Steve (I think there are more actually)!

Sad news was last week while I was up at Interlochen for the guitar seminar, I met another NS player who works at a nearby music store - his NS was stolen about a year ago. There's actually two Oz's in Michigan with a Stick, the other one used to work at a GC, he owns an SB8. My older one I believe had a Wenge neck and an ash body. I used the Warwick polish on it, as well as this one. Wenge is an awesome wood for long scale instruments, they hold up well in our climate here. Rarely touch the truss rod.
