Re: DIY DBro: -THE "HOLDER"!
Wow-Z-Wow Wow! Alain, Rob, Gene, Andy, Oliver, Simon, JRJ and Eric (yes you are part of that group) thank you so much for the nice words! JRJ- yes,... I was responsible for the FIJI mermaid and co-radio hosted "War of the Worlds"! HOW I DID IT! Everyone breathe easier- my PolyCarb is FINE! It tumbled into a real nice comfy pile of blankets and a comforter! Never went near the floor.Later, I went into my studio, recorded a real big chord on both sides at the first fret, made it real hot with a Scarlett Compressor and a BBE Sonic Maiximizer and.... wait for it... added a Timpani Kettle Drum sample! Emily, my wonderful amazing daughter, flew the soundfile in a just the right spot! - can the Vegomatic make Vegemite? Only Simon, StickRad and Pirate Bruce know! Rob was kind enough to point out that a pdf is a better and more accurate file. I had some "file size problems" and went with the jpg. To solve this Rob has posted the .pdf on his website here. Special shout out to Rob! Thanks! http://www.robstafarian.net/images/Stick/HolderTemplate.pdfOn the drill bits and the screws- here's the deal 1 bit size of the width of the screw ( top part so it won't bind) 1 bit size of the TOP of the screw to countersink it 1 bit just a wee bit smaller that the screw for the pilot hole screws were just plain ole wood screws Thank you for this great response, and I know this will make you a better player! take care, Dave Brosky

Dave, Great entertaining video. It is really cool that you came up with this idea, refined it, wrote out instructions, made a video and then are sharing the entire thing with the Stick community ... for free! Bravo ... or should I say Dbravo

Wicher wrote: Well done Dave. Clearly best served HOT! I have just designed and made my own playing stand (see photo attached). I did this because I have bi-focal glasses (poor close-up vision) and no matter how I adjusted the shoulder strap, I could not focus on the lowest 6 or so frets. With a stand, I can move to where I can see the lowest frets. Once I have established the muscle memory, hopefully, I will be able to play without looking. I have promised some fellow Aussie Stick players that I will produce drawings. When I have done that, I will post here. Cheers, Simon Nice solution...

Re: DIY DBro: -THE "HOLDER"!
Hey Dave! Great Vid! And wonderful idea! Dave let me take home and try one of these little "Holder"s a while back and I have to say that it is one of the most aesthetically pleasing and compact designs created for holding your Stick while playing in the seated position. If only it would hold my pants up as well, it could replace the belt for all occasions. Even though the shape does bring to mind a certain exploratory vessel, I suppose you couldn't, in good conscience, have named it the Stick Enterprise. Also the Thigh Blaster is out too! Thanks for sharing, Dave. Mike
