Not sure what the libraries are like out there - but around here they do hire musicians/bands. The performances are only 1 to 1/2 hours long, and the pay can be pretty good. The audience might not be huge - but they are there to see YOU.

Most libraries get government grants to promote the arts...

woah! should have seen the posts last year. shucks! i missed a lot last year. oh! please update the site of new gig scheds. dont want to miss any this year. thats my new year's resolution.
