 Re: Emmett Chapman (1936-2021)
Been offline with election work and some minor medical issues. So sad to come back on and see this.
No words...

 Re: Emmett Chapman (1936-2021)
So sad to hear. I think I speak for the everyone here when I say I wouldn't be who I am, nor where I am, were it not for Emmett. Thank you for everything.
Someone once told me, when I had lost someone, that "they are now doing better than any of us". I trust that is the case.

 Re: Emmett Chapman (1936-2021)
I only spoke to him once, briefly, on the phone, but I've held his life's work in my hands for many hours. I offer my condolences to his family and my gratitude for his long dedication to the craft.

So sad to hear this, my deepest condolences to Emmett's family and friends. I'm very thankful though for the what Emmett has given to the world, what he's done for me personally with his gift of this music and his instrument, and also thankful for this wonderful tight-knit community that I know will continue to support each other and keep Emmett's memory alive always through the music, big hugs to everyone.

 Re: Emmett Chapman (1936-2021)
My condolences to the Chapman family. I was fortunate to correspond with Emmett when I was a student at Berklee in the 80's and to arrange to take a lesson from him during winter break. It was a profound experience to talk with him and watch him play during that lesson, which has stayed with me. You will be missed by so many, Emmett.

So sad to hear this news about Emmett's passing.
May his family find comfort in knowing of all the lives Emmett touched, and that he will live on forever through his craft, his music and his kind kind words.

I consider this a loss for the planet. Design and build, continually improving, evolution of the pure land of innovation, humility, love and passion of craft, frugality, community.
