I bought this older Ironwood serial #1123 a while back. It plays great, and sounds great. I recently re-foamed the case. I have a lot of other sticks that I play, and this one is not getting playing time. I was considering restringing with flats, for the early stick tones, and still might do that.

I have seen some high prices recently for the several of the earlier sticks. What is the general thoughts about pricing?

#6460 Railboard for $2500 CAD.

If I had to guess a fair market value
for your Stick, I would estimate $2000 USD.
In the current market, you can ask for more.
The wait times for new Sticks is very long.

I would recommend checking reverb.com - select all filters and expand the "show only" nested menu option. Select sold listings.

This will give you some sort of feel for what people are willing to pay.

Nobody wants to be that jackass that is still trying to land $6k for a Graphite 12'r with a PASV-4.

At first glance, it seems that $2k - $2.5k is not unreasonable.

but..but..more strings! more pickups! AND impervious to enemy RaDAR

I had a graphite 12 and it was nice but the bamboo 12 with a Frankenstein stickup: / emg pickup I got later was superior - the graphite doesn’t really have a functional premium

...and is heavy.

My 10 string graphite weighs more than my 12 string bamboo.

That said, I don't usually play either with a belt hook or lapbar, so the weight isn't really an issue for me, but it may be for others, & might come as a big surprise for anyone who buys remotely thinking 'graphite instrument == light instrument'. LOL!
