Amazing.

RE: BSO - the first time I heard this piece was in 2014, performed by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestra Marin Alsop. It was an incredible performance.

Brian,
I shared your video in a Musicality forum I hang out in. It was very wel received. Here's one of the comments:

Quote:
I'm really impressed by what Brian Baggett achieved on Adagio for Strings. That's a huge achievement to take an instrument that is different from those for which the tune was originally written and to write it in a thoroughly recognizable way. In my book I'd call that "genius".

I'm very honored. Thank you for sharing that quote with me David.

Yeah. No kidding. But here I am, concerned about how "watered down" my arrangement is from the original score. Yet the instrument allows for sincere orchestrations. Weird.

You did a great job, Brian!
Some time ago I started working on Smetana's "Moldau". Fortunately, there are some good piano versions. That's much easier! But I never got very far. Maybe that's an incentive...

Wow. I haven't heard the Smetana in years...just looked it up on Apple Music. Yeah, that would be a great one. Go for it!

Outstanding performance and production.

It would be great if every Stickist here that commented on the board could also echo that sentiment on youtube. I'm sure that this would help Brian to get more attention on this magnificent achievement.

Now why didn't I think of that? Thanks for the hint Gene.

I found a small movie I made 4 years ago, The Moldau main theme, first part. Work in progress. And far away from your performance ...
Just uploaded it: https://www.stickist.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=17379

I've forgotten this habit a bit. Thanks for the reminder, Gene.

Wow. Thanks guys. Yeah...I never knew how to build much of a following or presence on YouTube. I just kind of throw things out there and see what happens...
