New Beginnings- Kiss of Reality Band
Hi Everyone.
I’m super stoked to be able to share with you my news, that David Pittaway had asked me to join Kiss of Reality.
Some of you know Volker really well. I’ve been cramming his lines from the original cd release. This opportunity has recalibrated my entire stick trajectory and it’s been great to share some great news instead of walking around like a gutter snipe, threatening to call people on my bucket list of great artists. Now I’m surrounded by some of these great people and artists.
We had our first rehearsal last weekend. I flew up to Melbourne from Hobart, a quick one hour flight.
Please enjoy my humble video offering, sharing in some of the joy of that weekend and with a shout out to our dearly departed Jim Lampi, Greg Howard as well as dear power brother Gene.

Power brother Gene.
Thanks for all the bruv luv. I know you’ve been asking for me to share some good stuff for a long time, so it’s such a pleasure to share.
Speaking of “long time”, it seems I’ve been waiting forever for this to happen and now I’ve arrived, the timing seems perfect. I was telling David Pittaway, I don’t think I would’ve been truly ready if it had happened earlier. So timing is everything and it seems so natural to have “suddenly “ arrived at this band.
I love how you’ve spotted the dbl drum or instrument swap idea. I can’t think of too many bands where two members play drums and stick. It’s something Marcus and I have already discussed and I’m excited about the possibilities. There are so many avenues for stretching out into new territory and we’re all excited about it.
There was some cool double drum work that Crimson did in the 80's with Belew doubling on Sartori in Tangier, the intro for Indiscipline and waiting man. Always my fav part of the set with the change up.
Quite the challenge with a trio though, maybe a one handed keyboard or foot pedal synth?! Lots of magic in the realm of the trio - I can't wait to hear more Rad!

Thank you Michael, GP and David!
You can imagine I’ve already thought of bringing out at HPD 15 or similar. Marcus has got it covered though and then some..!
I suppose if there’s one handed parts I could add a RH percussion part. … Or anything else for that matter. Thanks for your enthusiasm and creative thoughts everyone.
